Parker Griffith surprise change in parties, on Tuesday, shows how the dynamics of the election swiftly moving under the weight of chess moves social and economic policy on a large scale in Washington.

In fact, the waste could put pressure on other Democrats of Mr. Griffith conservative or moderate, store, especially in the deep south, leaving the ship to their places. That could meet the public’s reaction to a progressive agenda of the Republicans in Washington.

Griffith took over the seat of retired Rep. Robert “Bud” Cramer years (D) above. But the freshman lawmaker is pushed to the edge of anger in the Democratic power structure. An oncologist, Griffith voted against the reform of health care and against the restructuring plan and the CAP and trade legislation.

While the Democrats to defeat the legislation largely along party lines, exposed to the band in moderate and conservative circles. Griffith decision to switch parties shows a pragmatic approach to the elections next year, and shows how the Republican brand began May with a view to obtaining some of its shine again.

“This is a calculation that will be easier for an MP, a career as a Republican and Democrat, even if this means that the minority party, [and] really surprising, it should have,” said Merle Black, professor of political science Emory University in Atlanta and author of “America divided: the violent power struggle in American politics.” “The result is that you can see more changes and challenges in the deep South for some of these areas if the Democrats think it is easier to win elections than Republicans.

Freshman Rep. Bobby Bright (D) of Alabama and Representative Travis Childers (D) of Mississippi, who resigned in the past year, other potential defectors from the party, said Professor Black. Cards are similar to Griffith’s vote, even in conservative circles and is likely to encounter the same feelings of voters.

Griffith decision comes during a slide in the popularity of President Obama, especially among white voters. In a recent Rasmussen poll, 65 percent of white voters reject Obama, versus 34 percent, to approve. They are 31 percentage points is probably even greater Griffith District, hands down, who voted for John McCain, the presidential election last year, “said Schwarz.

Alabama Republicans welcomed the decision of Griffith, parallels with the exchange of Louisiana Rep. Rodney Alexander, have joined them about six years Republicans.

“[Griffith could not stand straight], what the Democrats do not,” Alabama Rep. Mike Rogers, a Republican, Fox News.

Griffith moves that could in the next election, the seat will be challenged by a more conservative rival, say some Republicans. But now, Griffith is probably one of the favorites for the Republican nomination in the race in the sand hills, Alabama, North.

“This part of the switching signals Griffith nervousness, but that does not mean that their security of tenure, writes the blogger Andrew Roth at Club for Growth, an organization of free-market oriented Washington.

Under the first reading of MSNBC, “” a political blog, Democrats are hardly influenced by the movements of the Griffith surprising given their voting, and because he had asked people not to call him a Democrat, but only a “Blue Dog”.

But Democrats say the switch Griffith nothing compared to the waste of GOP Sen. Arlen Specter, who has contributed to the current Democratic caucus super majority of 60 votes.

In the tradition of the southern states, Chang Mai go too fast in Washington. It is also possible that Griffith shared the frustrations with the Democratic leadership of Dixie, “said Schwarz.

“Democrats have gone too far, gone too liberal for] a sixth of the economy as a whole [with the health reform proposal,” says Schwarz. “It’sa great social change.

  4. The problem with this country is BOTH the Democrats and Republicans. Anyone who seriously thinks that one side isn’t corrupt or slaves to Corporate America hasn’t done an adequate job of paying attention. To the Republicans: The GW administration will go down in History as one of the worst administrations. They eroded your constitutional rights, expanded the power of the wealthy elite, invaded countries under false pretenses, destroyed diplomatic relations with the rest of the world, and spent money like it was going out of style. To the Democrats: Obama is a dud. He promised much and has turned out to be another corporate lackey. He made deals with big pharma to ensure you could not get your medication cheaper elsewhere, he flip flopped on military tribunals, he refuses to fix health care properly through nationalization or single payer, he populates his inner circle with more Wall Street insiders, he spends money on bailouts and useless stimulus packages.
