Charlie Gibson spent the evening comes from the ABC “World News” after 34 years with the network, this week, looking back on his career at ABC.

Thursday evening at Lincoln Center in New York, Gibson was toasted by friends, family and colleagues to pay tribute to a parting of the Disney-ABC Television Anne Sweeney, President called his “outstanding career.”

“It was an honor to work with you all, really an honor,” Gibson said guests. “I loved every day that they are not careful. Thank you.”

On Monday, Gibson has apologized to viewers a look back he called “a little complacent,” a return to his 34 years with the policy for the ABC:
