The festival is celebrated on the tenth day of the month of Dhul Hijjah, according to the Islamic calendar. Therefore,  each year, the dates of Muslim holidays are changing.The important  Muslim festivals celebrated in India, including Ramzan (Ramadan),  Muharram, Id-e-Milad and Id-Bakr. The celebration of the auspicious occasions are marked by special prayers at a mosque, fasting, feasts and the exchange of vows.</p>
<p>They say it was to prove that God asked to sacrifice his son on the altar on Mount Mina near Mecca. Ibrahim,  driven by his paternal feelings, and yet decided to follow the  instructions of God himself blindfolded before sacrifice his son and  only removed the bandage after performing the act. When she opened her eyes, she found her son alive and smiled joy.There big a tradition of sacrificing a goat on this day. Goat is called in Urdu Bakr and &#8216;id&#8217; is derived from the word &#8216;DIM which means &#8220;feast&#8221; in Arabic.
