Huge flea markets on both sides of the roads in this output to make major traffic jams weekend. Dealers in the world is right next door. But Jesus looks west toward I-75 – highly visible – and you’d be crazy not to get off at first exit ramp to worship and take a photo.

The J. Big is a symbol of the devotion of the congregation of 3,000 at Solid Rock, a nondenominational mega-church. Pastor Lawrence Bishop presides, and his wife Darlene also founded the church and preaches with its own ordered set of ministries. Outside, the artist James Lynch, was responsible for laying a fiberglass and styrofoam representing metal structure after the Resurrection Christ that hangs over the baptismal pool. This figure was completed in September 2004.

Lynch has created a larger than life sculpture in places like Las Vegas Neptune large (Caesar) and Disney World. Church leaders believe is the world’s largest of Christ (or at least half-buried WL Messiah) and submitted for consideration of a new Guinness World Record.
